ROANOKE, VIRGINIA Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magizine cited Roanoke in the top five areas nationwide for retirees.

A great place to visit, live, work, and play, maybe that’s why Expansion Management magazine has selected the Roanoke Valley as one of its top 50 “Hottest Cities” for expansion and relocation five out of the past six years!
More than 4000 communities have competed for the “All -America City Award” - given by the National Civic League each year since 1949. The Roanoke Valley is the only one that has won this award six times!
For the seventh consecutive year Roanoke City has been named in the cneter for Digitial Government’s top cities survey in 2007.
